LANDCHANGE LTD (ABN 30 663 454 733) (“LandChange”, “we”, “us”) is an Australian incorporated not-for-profit registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). LandChange operates from Australia under Australian law. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Details you provide through our contact form (name, organisation, email and message); account and access information for our portal, including login credentials and invitation records; and communications through our platforms, including messaging services such as WhatsApp. For the communities we work with, we collect only a preferred name and a contact number, together with consent and onboarding records. We do not collect or store government identity documents such as Aadhaar; identity is verified through the community’s own government cooperative registration, not by us.
To respond to enquiries; to provide and administer our community services and portal access; to record consent and onboarding; to meet our legal, regulatory and reporting obligations; and to improve our services.
The information and records a community provides remain the community’s own; they may access, correct, obtain a copy of, or withdraw it. The profiles, analysis, reports and materials we and our technology provider create from an engagement, and the systems and methods behind them, remain ours.
We operate on a consent-first basis. Information relating to communities is collected and recorded with consent before engagement, and consent can be withdrawn.
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers who support our operations, and with partners only where you have consented or where required or permitted by law. We do not distribute funds on behalf of others.
We hold information using reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Access to our portal is controlled and by invitation.
LandChange operates from Australia under Australian law. We are not an Indian entity, and we do not own or control the Integrated Living Cooperatives (ILCs) we work with; each ILC is an independent, locally registered cooperative responsible for its own local legal and data-protection compliance. We hold only minimal information (a name and a contact), with consent.
